Todd is the lead singer for the Canton Ohio Rock Band "Stoneslinger". They recently played one of the last shows at Tim Owen's Travelers Tavern in Akron Ohio. The Savages recorded this Podcast in a 1971 Dodge Van in the Travelers Tavern parking lot with the help of Red Water Tragedy's Dave Tinlin, and it was killer. Stoneslinger's most recent album "Solar Outlaws" is available now on iTunes and Amazon. Catch them live on a stage in Ohio as soon as possible.
Beau recently sat down for a conversation with Jesse and Scott from Lo-Pan at the 7th annual Blackout Cookout at The Outpost Concert Club, prior to them leaving on a ten date national tour with Atomic Bitchwax. They are currently working on music for new EP. Lo-Pan’s latest album “Colossus” is available now on Small Stone Records. You can find all of their albums on iTunes and Amazon as well. **The best listening experience for this episode is on headphones while turned up to moderate volume because of low audio on one of the vocal tracks**
Beau and Paul talk about an array of things, including their feelings on their new Podcast lives resemble country song lyrics, and how Football and Baseball should be combined for a new hybrid extreme sport. Beau might be the only guy in Ohio who doesn't care much about sports. In talking about the newly reformed Guns N Roses, they also reminisce about the time they met Slash together in the early 90's while he was on a tour stop at The Odeon in Cleveland. They touch on how the music press was entirely wrong about Axl Rose's ability to front AC/DC. GNR is back, and thats just fine with The Savages.
