We just got done with two weekends of playing rock shows in Northeast Ohio. Burn Blue Sky played their first St. Patty's Day show ever and it was a blast. Red Water Tragedy also played in Akron, and it was killer as usual. We also talk about the latest comedy specials released by Dave Chappelle last week on Netflix, and the ridiculous controversy surrounding his stand up comedy. Today we play the song "Netflix And Kill" by the bad ass band "Sweaty Mammoth", which is available on their band camp page now.
On the ramble episodes, we talk about a wide variety of subjects. Music, Politics, Family Etc. We do this to change it up from the normally structured RSP Episodes. Sometimes we just like to blow off some steam. We mention The Sword in this one, and play the song "The Bees Of Spring" from their latest and most excellent album "High Country". It is available now on iTunes.
Beau and Paul descend upon The Outpost Concert Club to talk to Aric Frank from Drunkin Funk prior to their performance. Dave from RWT sits in as well, and we proceed to shoot the shit about our musical lives and everthing therein. Erasing Never also pops in to give us some breaking news about their future. We play songs from each band towards the end of the episode. Purchase Drunkin Funk music at their live shows around Ohio. Burn Blue Sky & Red Water Tragedy music is available now on iTunes & CDBABY.
Beau and Paul talk about an array of things, including their feelings on their new Podcast lives resemble country song lyrics, and how Football and Baseball should be combined for a new hybrid extreme sport. Beau might be the only guy in Ohio who doesn't care much about sports. In talking about the newly reformed Guns N Roses, they also reminisce about the time they met Slash together in the early 90's while he was on a tour stop at The Odeon in Cleveland. They touch on how the music press was entirely wrong about Axl Rose's ability to front AC/DC. GNR is back, and thats just fine with The Savages.
Beau and Paul are Ohio Musicians, and long time friends, who are members of the Rock Band's "Burn Blue Sky" and "Red Water Tragedy". On todays episode, they discuss the Ohio Music Scene and their motivation to start a Podcast to help promote it.
